28th June 2020
North Alves Holiday Park will open on the Friday 3rd of July for our resident pitch customers then we will open for visiting tourers/motorhomes on Wednesday 15th July 2020. This will just allow our permanent customers onsite to get used to being back before we open to other visitors.
Unfortunately, all our communal facilities will remain closed for this
season. This includes the toilet & shower blocks/campers’ kitchen and laundry area, our indoor games room and indoor tv/dining room. Our fresh water taps within the campsite and our
ELSAN (chemical waste disposal point) and our grey waste water disposal point will be open to our guests with hand sanitising points in place at each.
Due to the inconvenience caused by the lack of facilities, we will be offering a discounted nightly rate. Please contact us for further details.
VISITORS SAFETY WHILST ONSITE
As many people who have stayed with us in the past, we are very fortunate to have lots of open space on our campsite, which makes physically distancing not a problem. Each of our pitches have generous spacing between them. Our touring pitches already have existing hedge borders between and our electric tent pitches/camper areas in our top field are on a large area with each pitch cut into what we call our ‘crop circles’. Our non-electric pitches in our bottom field are cut into our nature meadow giving each camper their own private spot.
Throughout the campsite, we have several hand sanitisation points in place. Hand sanitizers can be found at each freshwater point, our grey waste disposal point, our ELSAN unit, our reception building and outside the children’s playpark. There are also social distancing signs throughout/around the site.
Lee or I will meet you on arrival. If we can ask that you remain in your car to help maintain physical/social distancing. We will then advise you of your pitch location and explain any other pieces of information before letting you go on your way to get set up and enjoy your break with us.
TOILETS AND SHOWERS FOR TENTS AND CAMPERVANS
Unfortunately none of our toilet/shower facilities will be open for our 2020 season, therefore we are sadly unable to take any tent bookings although if you have a toilet tent, you can pitch alongside your main tent on your pitch(free of charge)and we welcome you along.
BEHAVIOUR WHILST STAYING ONSITE
There are signs around the site just to remind everyone they must comply to social distancing rules in accordance with Scottish Government guidelines and maintain the correct physical distancing between you, other people staying onsite and ourselves. Physical distancing must always be adhered too throughout the site. Sadly, these are strange times, and these apply/include any children staying onsite too. Whilst we have plenty room around the site for children to run around and play, please be aware it is the responsibility of the parents/guardians
of the children and not us, to ensure that any children staying onsite are made aware of these rules and adhere to them.
This season also, unfortunately you should be aware that only people staying with us and ourselves (including our family) will be allowed on site for the time being, so sadly NO DAY VISITORS. This is to try and keep numbers down of visitors who are not booked in/staying with us onsite at any one time. We ask if you want to meet up with any friends/family members for the day, that you arrange to meet up with them out with the campsite. We appreciate this is not ideal, but we must all do our bit to keep everyone safe whilst staying here with us.
We are afraid that anyone who is found to be breaching our campsite’s COVID-19 rules WILL be asked to leave the park.
YOU SUSPECT YOURSELF OR ANOTHER VISITOR HAS/DISPLAYING COVID’19 SYMPTOMS
If you or somebody else feels unwell, please report to ourselves here onsite on our mobile number 07909 091872, call NHS 111 (or 999 if an emergency i.e. if they are seriously ill or injured or their life is at risk) and explain current symptoms.
Please be advised until an outcome of the test results are known, no action is required to be taken by the campsite/no restrictions put in place.
We are currently taking bookings for the 15th July onwards. If you decide you would like to make a booking please contact us via email, form message via our website, Facebook page or give us a call, whichever you prefer. I will send on a copy of our T&C’s for you to have a read over and if you are happy, we can proceed. We are asking that a 20% deposit is paid at time of booking. If for any reason due to government advice our opening date is moved and we cannot honour your booking, we will of course be back in touch and offer a full refund of your 20% deposit. If everything goes ahead as planned for opening, we will be asking everyone who books with us to pay the remaining balance one week prior to their stay either by card over the telephone or via BACS payment. This is just to ensure the least amount of contact as possible for everyone on arrival at the campsite.
If for any reason at all the campsite must close due to revised government guidance, we will of course offer a 100% refund of any payment made.
19th March 2020
As we are now starting to receive more and more enquiries asking when we are expecting/do we know when we are going to be opening, thought it was probably worth popping on.
Due to the latest government advice, we are now hopeful (and keeping everything crossed), that during phase 3 of the easing of
lockdown, Wednesday 15th July will all being will be our date to open the campsite for what's left of our 2020 season.
(Please note government advice/date may change)
Things are going to have to change (as it has for everyone everywhere) for the remainder of this season and things are going to look/operate different than normal here at North Alves.
There will obviously have to be some changes implemented to meet health and hygiene regulations in order for us to open and most importantly keep us all safe whilst staying at North Alves.
As well as signage and hand sanitiser etc around various water taps/ELSAN unit, the major change this season will be, we will not be opening communal facilities. There has been absolutely no government guidance given to us as yet on this at all. The areas will include our toilet/shower blocks and also our laundry/campers kitchen. (If anyone would like to know the reason we have had to come to this decision, please just pop us a message/email and we will happily explain).
We will be asking that everyone that comes to stay onsite both in their own vans or visiting touring vans, instead use their own facilities in their caravans (both static and tourers) enabling social distancing to be observed and cutting the risk of potential cross contamination. Due to this sadly we will not be taking bookings for tents or for the hiring of our glamping cabin this year, as we just wont have the facilities to offer them. We would therefore only be taking bookings for caravans/motorhomes who can self contain and use their own facilities and to reflect this we will be offering a reduced nightly rate due to the inconvenience. (Please contact us for this).
To reduce contact as much as possible, we will also be asking people who book with us, to pay their balance prior to their arrival date either via card payment over the telephone or via BACS and then once payment has been received, we will be back in touch with the pitch number at that time and any further info required for their stay.
We are now taking bookings but rest assured, all deposits will be refunded if government advice changes and we can't honour your dates you had booked with us.
We hope this helps answer any questions and look forward to hopefully seeing some of you during the season at some point.
